Since I started drawing and painting again, I have felt incredibly privileged to have been commissioned to complete some very special pieces including pet portraits, wildlife and floral drawings, portraits and painted landscapes.
For the animal and floral drawings, I use a combination of Polychromos and Prismacolour coloured pencils on drafting film to build up gentle layers of colour to create the soft textures of ofur, feathers and petals.
For my painted landscapes, I use acrylics finished with a matt varnish on box canvases so there is no need for framing and your painting is protected. I always continue the painting around the sides of the canvas as I think this gives a more professional finish.
If you are considering commissioning a drawing or painting, please contact me for availability in good time, especially if you require the piece as a gift or for a certain date as I can often be booked up for three months at a time, particularly near Christmas, and allow 2-4 weeks for me to complete your piece depending on the size and the amount of work involved. I will always do my best to complete work to dates requested.
For all commissions I request a 50% non-refundable deposit on booking with the remaining balance due on completion and before the work is sent out or collected.
Once I have completed your drawing/painting, I will send you a photograph for your approval and make any alterations should you require them as it is important to me that you are completely happy with your finished piece.
Pet Portraits
Our pets are such important parts of our families, showing unconditional love and being by our sides through whatever life throws at us, and just like us, they all have their own unique personalities.
In today’s world, many of the photographs we take of our furry friends stay on our phones or laptops and once taken are rarely seen, so why not transform your favourite photograph into a beautiful drawing that will hang on your wall to make you smile every day?
For me to truly capture the personality of your pet should you wish to commission a drawing, I require two or three good quality photographs in the pose you would like, which show a lovely reflection in the eyes and also clearly show the direction of the fur. I will also talk with you to help me get to know their character better so that I can make sure this shines through in the finished portrait.
My animal pieces are incredibly detailed and involve a lot of work, with me drawing individual hairs using many layers of colour to capture the light reflecting on the fur and also in the eyes.
Having two beautiful cats of my own, I understand how important your pet is so I will work closely with you to ensure I create a piece that you can treasure forever.
Each drawing takes between 2-4 weeks to complete depending on the size. You can see examples of just some of the beautiful pet portraits I have had the pleasure to work on below.
The prices above are based on a white background so should you require a background drawing in, or require more than 3 animals in one drawing then please contact me for a quote.
Floral Drawings
My floral drawings are a lovely way of capturing flowers which hold special or sentimental memories for you.
I have a large collection of my own reference photographs of different kinds of flowers which I can use to create a bespoke drawing for you or you could send me photos which you have taken yourself to work from.
If you are wanting something to fit with a particular colour scheme, I will work closely with you to ensure the best match.

Landscape Paintings
Commissioning a landscape painting is the perfect way to capture and relive a special moment in time by having an everlasting reminder of that special place on your wall.
I require a good quality photograph to enable me to pick out as many details as possible.
