A New Dawn

The still silence, broken only by the gentle lapping of the glowing liquid honey of the sea as once more the amber sun rises reflecting its majestic light over this spiritual vista. Steeped in history and wonder, the 16th century castle, a haunting silhouette against the fiery sky watching over the pebbled shoreline today as every day for centuries past. A day of new hope, a new dawn.

Watching the sun rise behind Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island in Northumberland was one of the most peaceful and beautiful experiences I have ever been lucky enough to witness. The warm, rich colours of the sky along with the gentle lapping of the waves seemed to create a sense of timelessness where history and present merged into one to create a perfect moment to just be.
