Illusion

A sea of the most delicate lavender blue, dappled with light, proudly daring to be different amongst the surrounding fields of green, bringing the patchwork of arable land to life with its vibrant glow. Yet as dusk begins to fall the magic fades, the beauty that brightens the day, gone under a cloak of green to once again become just another field of green until the morning comes.

The striking colour of flax or linseed fields in Lincolnshire this year has been such a wonderful sight to see but only if you catch them in daylight hours as at night they close up and the wonder of their beauty, gone until the sun rises once more.

I am so grateful to have been fortunate enough to capture this, so easily missed, moment in time.
