Realisation

The midway point to the top of the Flamborough Head cliff, the steep descent to the rocky beach below and the even steeper climb to the top almost completed. The sense of gratitude for my personal achievement to be standing here right now, the dappled sea soothing my way. The tiny flowers that despite the profusion of greenery have, like me, raised their heads to the sun to listen to the gentle rush of the waves and feel the warmth on their faces. A hidden spot so easily passed on the trek to the top with head down gasping for breath, yet one, that to the one who takes the time to notice allows you to breathe and just be.

Completing this cliff walk was a moment of realisation for me as to just how far on my own personal healing journey I have come so it just had to be captured in a painting.
